This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of physicians specializing in neuro-oncology, medical oncology and neurology. It may also be of benefit to other healthcare providers interested in the care of patients with central nervous system tumors.
 
Learning Objectives
Upon proper completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
  • Interpret data regarding survival incidence and trends among patients with CNS tumors based on clinical and demographic characteristics
  • Review data regarding prognostic markers associated with survival outcomes in gliomas
  • Outline evidence-based symptom management strategies for adult long-term survivors with CNS cancers
  • Identify elements of effective survivorship care including care delivery models, survivorship care plans, communication techniques and caregiver involvement
