Target Audience
This activity has been designed to address the educational needs of internists, family physicians, primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, and PAs. It may also benefit other healthcare professionals engaged or interested in the care of patients with asthma, COPD, and asthma-COPD overlap (ACO).
Learning Objectives
Upon proper completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
- Accurately diagnose patients with asthma, COPD, or ACO, based on a thorough evaluation using tests and tools as outlined by current best practice guideline recommendations
- Appropriately characterize patients with asthma, COPD, or ACO based on disease severity, subtype, phenotype, and endotype
- Determine guideline-recommended pharmaceutical treatment for patients with asthma, COPD, or ACO, based on the clinical profiles of the agents
- Assess appropriateness of medication delivery device options based on patient capability for proper use
