Statement of Need
Nonsurgical cosmetic facial rejuvenation continues to flourish due to its efficacy, versatility, and safety. The trend towards personalized medicine has encouraged innovations based on individual facial anatomy and the extent of aging.  Clinicians in this competitive field face the challenge of advancing their knowledge and skills regarding advances in procedures, products, and techniques leading to enhancements in outcome.

During this comprehensive program, our expert faculty share their insights and expertise on nuances of treatment based on consistent assessment of facial aging, choice of dermal fillers and neuromodulators based on their characteristics, injection technique, and outcome assessment. Patient case studies and live injection demonstrations are designed to facilitate participant mastery of both the art and science of facial rejuvenation, allowing quick and reliable incorporation of these innovations into practice.

Educational Objectives
Upon proper completion of this activity, the participant should be better able to:
  • Identify the causes, processes, and sites of dynamic facial rhytid formation by using a standardized process to evaluate the grade of facial aging.
  • Describe the basic science and key physical properties of aesthetic neuromodulators and hyaluronic acid fillers.
  • Evaluate aesthetic neuromodulators and dermal fillers with regard to indications and contraindications, preparation, dosing, technique, efficacy, and safety.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of injection strategies, including product selection and use, which facilitate individualized therapy with neuromodulators and dermal fillers based on anatomic assessment, grade of facial aging, gender, and patient goals.
