This activity has been designed to address the educational needs of physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants with an interest in the management of COPD who were unable to attend the live symposium, or who attended the live symposium and wish to reinforce their learning. The webinar is also intended for other HCPs interested in the management of patients with COPD.

 

In recognition of the need to improve care for patients with COPD, in 2011 clinical practice guidelines for the Diagnosis and Management of Stable COPD were published by several leading associations. Since that time, the 2013 Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) Report was published and several new medications have been approved. This enduring webinar will provide an update on these guidelines and therapies, as well as current evidence-based information about the CMS Core Measures, which need to be thoroughly understood, as the prevention of a hospital admission has a direct effect on minimizing hospital readmission.
